Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 26, 2026
This policy explains what information the Zombie Deluge team (“we”, “us”) collects through zombiedeluge.com and our playtest sign-up process, what we do with it, and what we will never do with it. The short version: this site has no ads, no analytics, no tracking cookies, and no third-party requests.
1. Who we are
Zombie Deluge is an independent game project currently in pre-alpha development. For any privacy question or request, contact us at privacy@zombiedeluge.com. We aim to respond within 30 days.
2. What we collect
2.1 Playtest sign-ups and emails
When you sign up for the playtest or email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message (such as your name or platform). We use this information for one purpose: contacting you about the playtest and the game. We do not add you to marketing lists, and every email we send tells you how to stop receiving them.
2.2 Server diagnostics
Our web server may briefly record standard technical logs (IP address, request time, requested page, browser type) to keep the site secure and available, and to respond to abuse. These logs are not used to build profiles and are deleted on a rolling basis.
2.3 Game accounts (future)
Zombie Deluge does not currently have player accounts. When account systems launch in a future build, we will update this policy before collecting any account or gameplay data, and sign-ups for closed tests will always be separate from this website.
3. What we never do
- No advertising. No ad networks, ever.
- No trackers. No analytics scripts, pixels, or fingerprinting.
- No cookies. This site sets no cookies and reads none.
- No third-party requests. Fonts and graphics are served from our own server.
- No selling or renting data. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information with anyone.
4. Legal bases (EEA/UK visitors)
Where the GDPR applies, we process playtest sign-ups based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) — you asked to be contacted), and technical logs based on our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) in operating a secure website. You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing us.
5. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or ask what we hold about you. EEA and UK residents have the rights described in the GDPR (including data portability and objection); California residents have rights under the CCPA — note that because we do not sell or share personal information, the standard CCPA opt-out does not apply to us. Email privacy@zombiedeluge.com and we will take care of it.
6. Children
The playtest is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA without parental consent). If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we will delete the data promptly.
7. Where data lives
The website is hosted on servers in the United States. Emails you send are stored in our email infrastructure. If you contact us from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US; we keep only what we need, for as long as we need it (see the next section).
8. How long we keep data
Playtest sign-up emails are kept until the playtest program ends or you ask us to remove you — whichever comes first. General correspondence is kept for up to 24 months. Technical logs are removed on a rolling schedule.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date above. If a change is material — for example, when the game launches and accounts begin collecting data — we will say so clearly on this page before the change takes effect.
